Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Officer in Agricultural Economics to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and providing valuable insights to support the development of agricultural policies and strategies.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and conduct economic research projects related to agriculture and rural development
- Collect, analyze, and interpret agricultural data to forecast market trends and evaluate policy impacts
- Provide recommendations and contribute to the development of sustainable agricultural practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders and present research findings at conferences and events
- Supervise and mentor junior researchers
Requirements:
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting economic research
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis software and research methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Passion for agricultural development and sustainability
