Job Description
We are seeking a diligent Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Grand City. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage costs for building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. Responsibilities include preparing estimates, evaluating tenders, managing subcontractors, monitoring project progress, and ensuring costs stay within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets based on client requirements
- Analyze drawings and specifications for accurate material and labor estimates
- Evaluate tenders, negotiate prices, and manage subcontract accounts
- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and adjust budget projections
- Assist in risk assessment, advise on procurement strategies, and stay updated on industry developments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Proven experience in Quantity Surveyor role
- Strong numerical skills, construction contract knowledge, proficiency in estimating software
- Excellent MS Office Suite skills, ability to work under pressure, and effective communication
- Membership in professional organization preferred
