Job Description
The Aga Khan University Hospital is a not-for-profit healthcare institute that offers all medical services to their patients under one roof. They are currently looking for a Nurse Instructor for their Nursing Education Services. The hospital has a network of secondary care hospitals, medical centers, clinical laboratories, and pharmacies across Pakistan. They also provide home healthcare services and home deliveries of medicines. The AKUH is accredited by the Joint Commission International as an Academic Medical Centre and its Clinical Laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists.
Responsibilities
- Assess learning needs of the orientees/trainees during courses and traineeships.
- Develop and conduct orientation programs, training courses, basic skills training, in-service education, and sessions for the development of nursing employees.
- Plan, develop, and organize programs, courses, workshops to meet broad nursing needs and institutional patient care objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group learning.
- Ensure that educational programs are congruent with the organizational goals.
- Demonstrate sound theoretical and practical knowledge related to adult teaching-learning process.
Requirements
- A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school.
- Minimum 2-3 years of working experience as a registered nurse.
- Valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council.
- Certified BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP (Provider/Instructor).
- Minimum two years of clinical teaching experience.
- Possess competencies to impart skills and knowledge to the audience.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing policies and processes.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Readiness to work in flexible hours.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
