Responsibilities:

• Initiate and manage negotiations with suppliers, bookers, and vendors for the procurement of SKUs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with bookers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
• Cultivate and expand a network of bookers in the grocery industry to source and secure exclusive merchandise deals.
• Collaborate with bookers to identify upcoming trends and popular items for inclusion in the store inventory.
• Oversee the end-to-end process of Purchase Order generation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with internal teams to determine merchandise needs and specifications for PO creation.
• Ensure demand planning to monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer, preferably in the grocery retail industry.
• 2-3 years of experience in the relevant role.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable deals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships.
• Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management software and Excel.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
