Job Description
Role Description:
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Solar Engineer located in Lahore, with flexibility for some remote work. The Solar Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing solar energy projects, conducting feasibility studies, analyzing energy requirements, developing project proposals, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Solar Engineer will also oversee construction and commissioning of solar energy projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) with a focus on energy systems, Renewable Energy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in designing and developing solar energy projects
- Experience in conducting feasibility studies, analyzing energy requirements, developing project proposals, and managing solar energy projects from start to commissioning
- Strong knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, and electrical systems
- Experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other simulation tools for solar energy systems design and simulation
- Understanding of grid interconnection requirements and electrical codes applicable to solar energy systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and documentation skills
- Project Management experience is a plus
- Professional certification such as LEED Green Associate, PV Installation Professional, and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus
