Job Description
HDH Telecommunications is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team for our US medical billing campaign. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently handling medical billing processes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards in all billing procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Billing and Coding: Accurately assign appropriate medical codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) to diagnoses and procedures for timely reimbursement.
- Claim Preparation: Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to payer requirements.
- Follow-up on Claims: Monitor outstanding claims and follow up with insurance companies to resolve billing issues, denials, or rejections.
- Payment Processing: Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately in the billing system, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring proper documentation.
- Patient Billing: Generate patient statements, answer billing inquiries, and assist patients with payment plans or financial arrangements as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller in a US healthcare setting or similar role.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and insurance billing procedures.
- Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (e.g., CPC) will be preferred if available.
