Job Description
The Role:
We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team at NymCard. The candidate will report to the Chief Accountant and Finance Director, coordinating with all departments as needed.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts
- Produce error-free accounting reports
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
- Assist with tax audits and returns
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure compliance with IFRS principles
- Liaise with the finance team for process improvement
Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Positive can-do attitude
- Good analytical skills
- Understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- 5+ years of experience in card payments/banking industry
- Understanding of settlement & reconciliation with card schemes
