Overview:
We are seeking an incumbent who will be responsible for developing and executing business development strategies to improve DHL’s business performance. The successful candidate will be expected to have a detailed understanding of customers’ shipping requirements and provide highly customized logistics and distribution services to meet their needs.

Major Expertise:
Sales and business expertise in handling the Air Freight portfolio.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Address customer complaints and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Manage and retain a defined customer portfolio.
- Develop and execute sales plans/strategies/activities to achieve target budgets.
- Negotiate contractual terms of service provision with customers, in line with corporate sales policies and procedures.
- Monitor adherence to approved credit limits and payment terms.
- Deliver high-quality presentations of standardized products and services to potential customers.
- Plan, prepare, and conduct sales calls to improve customer retention and acquire new business.
- Assess the creditworthiness of potential customers and collect necessary information.
- Conduct surveys and gather market intelligence to identify business prospects and review competitor behavior.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in field sales at freight forwarding.
- Broad understanding of trade lane specifics in the forwarding industry and in-depth knowledge of air freight and logistics business models.
- Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field.
- Ability to deliver effective presentations and conduct sales negotiations.
- Proven sales record.
- Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
