Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Client/Shippers Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and shippers to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges within the shipping industry.
- Weekly Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive weekly reports on individual sales performance and team accomplishments to the Directors.
- Sales Strategy Development: Formulate effective strategies to boost sales, achieve targets, and maximize revenue for the shipping lines.
- Inventory and MnR Department Collaboration: Collaborate with the Inventory and Maintenance & Repair (MnR) departments to ensure seamless coordination and follow-up on operational processes.
- Port Shipment Follow-Up: Regularly liaise with ports to facilitate smooth shipments, address any issues, and optimize logistical processes.
- Operational Process Oversight: Take responsibility for overseeing all operational processes related to shipping activities, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Job Specification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marketing within the shipping industry.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform market analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach with a focus on achieving sales targets.
- Knowledge of inventory management and operational processes in the shipping domain.
- Familiarity with port operations and logistics.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
