Job Description
Overall Purpose:
The Assistant Manager Tax will oversee all tax activities to ensure compliance with Federal, state, and international tax reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the manager/head of Taxation in handling overall taxation matters of the Company.
- Preparing and finalizing monthly sales tax working for filing of sales tax returns under Federal and Provincial Laws.
- Reviewing tax deductions made on various invoices by the sub-ordinate staff.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders on tax matters and guiding them on applicable tax laws.
- Ensuring accuracy of ledger balances related to taxes in financial statements.
- Guiding and educating internal stakeholders on tax laws and rates for deduction.
- Liaising with External Auditors on Tax-related queries for financial statements.
- Preparing various detailed documents for Various Tax Notices and submitting to Tax authorities/Consultant.
