Job Description
We are looking to expand our marketplace and analytics team and are seeking individuals who are passionate about working for the largest local startup in Pakistan. This role involves solving complex marketplace problems at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Define, instrument, and maintain new and existing business critical metrics using SQL queries and beyond.
- Drive marketplace decisions, including pricing, supply/demand balancing, customer subsidies, and strategic marketplace shifts.
- Develop an understanding of customers, partner-drivers, and vendors to drive engagement, product recommendations, and business decisions.
- Run experiments, develop dashboards, and create data visualizations for cross-functional data-driven decision-making.
- Answer complex business questions through ad-hoc SQL queries and visualization to improve marketplace management.
- Integrate insights from different data sources to develop a holistic market and consumer understanding for category and brand strategy.
- Collaborate with the data engineering team on building/maintaining ETLs, pipelines, and automations to ensure accurate and scalable business performance analysis.
Skills:
- Data Governance: Implement data governance principles for data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong command of SQL for data manipulation, querying, and database management.
- BigQuery Expertise: Proven proficiency in extracting insights from large datasets using BigQuery.
- Looker Mastery: Extensive experience in utilizing Looker for data visualization, exploration, and reporting.
- Python Proficiency: Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation.
- Machine Learning Basics: Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and their application in data analysis.
Education:
– Bachelors in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
Experience:
– 3 to 4 years of relevant post-education work experience in analytics, business intelligence, market research, or related field.
