An overview of your role:

As a Business Security Engineer at PureSquare, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring incidents and anomalies through SIEM and monitoring solutions. You will conduct in-depth investigations, root cause analyses, and actively participate in incident handling. Additionally, you will manage the administration and operations of security tools, perform access reviews, and develop security awareness programs. It is crucial for you to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements for comprehensive security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform proactive monitoring of incidents and events through SIEM and other monitoring solutions.
• Report and notify the concerned team about any detected anomalies on their assets.
• Conduct detailed investigations of reported issues or alerts and perform root cause analyses.
• Actively involve in the incident handling process from detection to incident reporting.
• Maintain logs and document identified security events and their resolutions following the Security Incident Management Process.
• Review threat feeds from known sources and blogs, analyzing their relevance in the internal scenario for threat monitoring.
• Monitor the overall health of SIEM and other security monitoring tools, ensuring timely resolution of identified errors.
• Ensure all integrated assets are reporting and shipping logs.
• Liaise with vendors and related teams for diagnosis and troubleshooting of security solutions such as SIEM.
• Take responsibility for the administration and operations related to security tools under the management of the Business Security team (e.g., Identity and Access Management, SIEM, Vulnerability Management, etc.).
• Perform periodic access reviews of critical business applications and coordinate with respective teams for remediations.
• Develop security awareness campaigns and provide technical security training for employees.
• Stay informed and provide recommendations on the latest security threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
