Job Description
The Collections Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable process and ensuring timely payment from customers. This role involves maintaining communication with customers regarding outstanding payments, resolving payment discrepancies, and implementing collection strategies to minimize bad debt. The Collections Coordinator will also work closely with the sales and credit teams to analyze customer creditworthiness and establish credit limits.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
- Communicate with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans.
- Analyze customer credit information and make credit limit recommendations to the credit department.
- Collaborate with the sales team to address payment concerns and provide assistance in resolving customer disputes.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts and collection efforts.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in collections or accounts receivable.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work with deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
