Job Description
Role Summary:
As a Concept Artist at Phantom Cave, your role is to visually bring our creative visions to life by generating captivating concepts for characters, environments, and props.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualization: Create visually striking concepts aligned with project requirements.
- Iteration: Refine concepts based on team feedback and maintain style consistency.
- Research: Stay updated on industry trends for creative inspiration.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate closely with the Art Leads and Directors and the core development team to drive and visualize various themes within the mobile gaming universe.
- Inspire, mentor, and develop peers within a team of Concept Artists in the mobile gaming domain.
- Support, drive, and evolve Art Direction specifically tailored for mobile game aesthetics.
- Coordinate with other art, design, and production teams to achieve the goals of the mobile gaming product.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience working within a mobile game Character Art team, specifically in a Concept Artist role.
- Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of styles, creativity, and craftsmanship relevant to the mobile gaming space.
- Problem solver, adept at coordinating with Character Artists and Mobile Game Designers to address unique challenges.
- Strong communication skills and understanding of character creation and world building in the context of mobile games.
- Excellent traditional artistic skills, encompassing composition, color theory, perspective, lighting, character design, and graphic design.
- 5+ years of experience in the game industry, with a focus on mobile game development.
- Experience working with mobile game intellectual properties is a plus.
