Role Description

Corporate Director of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the engineering operations and maintenance activities across all our properties. This position ensures that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics, aligning with the brand’s quality and operational goals. The role involves strategic planning, resource management, and leadership to drive efficiency and innovation in engineering processes. Additionally, the role requires experience in pre-openings to ensure successful launches of new properties.

The role is open to locals only and is not an expatriate position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department that align with the overall goals of the hospitality group.
• Lead and manage a team of property engineers and maintenance staff across multiple locations.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in the properties.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
• Lead engineering efforts during the pre-opening phase of new properties, including setting up all engineering systems and ensuring they are operational before opening day.
• Coordinate with construction teams, designers, and contractors to ensure all engineering specifications are met during the build-out phase.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new properties.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize operational risks.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, addressing any issues promptly.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) is required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the hospitality industry.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale engineering operations and projects.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, systems, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
