National University of Technology (NUTECH) is a federally chartered Higher Education Commission (HEC) & Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) recognized Islamabad based University, administratively under Ministry of Science & Technology (MoST).
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a DAD Network & System Engineer at National University of Technology (NUTECH) located in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the University’s Domain Name, Active Directory, and DHCP servers, as well as the backup, storage, and recovery systems. The Engineer will also work closely with the Network Administrator to monitor and optimize the University’s LAN and WAN connectivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in DAD System & network administration
- Experience in deploying and managing Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and other domain services
- Expertise in Linux Server OS, Active Directory management, and script processing
- Experience with network infrastructure and network operating systems, including routers, switches, cable management, VLANs, and IP addressing
- Expertise in backup, storage, and recovery systems of domain infrastructure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to extrapolate data and solve complex technical issues
- Professional certification such as CCNA, MCSE, or equivalent is a plus
