Job Description
- The Deputy Manager Infection Control will be well-versed in infection hazards across patient care services to recommend and assess prevention strategies’ effectiveness.
- Attend IC meetings to provide updates on infection prevention and control matters.
- Ensure compliance with decontamination guidelines through policy enforcement.
- Involve healthcare workers and patients in infection prevention and control efforts.
- Challenge barriers, promoting HCAI reduction for staff and patients.
- Address inappropriate clinical practices when necessary.
- Influence resource allocation to minimize HCAI risks.
- Incorporate infection prevention and control in job descriptions, CPD, and staff appraisals.
