Job Description

Scope/Purpose of Job:

The Director of Administration is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the University of Management and Technology (UMT), ensuring efficient and effective operations in alignment with the institution’s mission and strategic goals.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive administrative strategies that support the university’s mission and goals.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of the administrative department’s strategic and operational plans.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the administrative staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Ensure the effective management of all administrative processes, including finance, human resources, facilities management, and IT services.
  • Develop, review, and implement administrative policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with university standards.
  • Implement quality assurance and improvement procedures to enhance administrative services and support the university’s mission.
  • Oversee the development and management of the administrative department’s budget.
  • Ensure the efficient allocation and utilization of resources to support the university’s strategic goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the administrative department and other university units.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with administrative operations and develop contingency plans to ensure the continuity of administrative services.

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 years of education, preferably in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • 15 plus years of relevant work experience in administrative roles, preferably within an educational institution.
