Job Description
We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor to join our dynamic team. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail, a creative mindset, and proficiency in various editing software tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit footage into cohesive and visually compelling videos that align with the company’s vision.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of videos.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role.
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.).
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
- Creative mind and storytelling skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field (preferred).
- A portfolio of past work demonstrating editing capabilities is required for consideration.
