Job Description
As a DME Medical Biller at Practice Management Experts, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and timely billing for durable medical equipment, guaranteeing patients receive necessary equipment and our company receives proper reimbursements from insurance providers.
Responsibilities:
- Billing and Claims: Review, verify, and submit medical claims to insurance companies.
- Follow-up: Pursue unpaid or denied claims for prompt payment.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Address and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Communication: Engage with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers on billing matters.
- Compliance: Adhere to industry regulations and laws in all billing practices.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate billing and patient records.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to patients for billing and insurance inquiries.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous DME medical billing experience.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with DME regulations and billing procedures.
- Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record systems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical billing certification preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Manage detailed information accurately and efficiently.
