Job Description
The Service Desk Technician will be the initial point of contact for customers, resolving technical issues and processing service requests. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills are essential to ensure efficient and friendly service delivery. Utilization of ticketing systems for documentation and communication throughout the customer issue lifecycle.
Job Duties:
- Log, categorize, and prioritize Incidents or Service Requests from customers via phone, chat, email, or service portal.
- Investigate and diagnose customer issues using internal and external knowledgebases for first contact resolution.
- Resolve incidents promptly to achieve high first contact resolution rate.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team.
- Identify patterns in incidents to recognize potential major issues.
- Communicate effectively with customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Educate on self-service tools and resources.
Functional Knowledge:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Proper documentation skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
- Formal training or certification in relevant field preferred.
- 1-2 years of related work experience typically required.
- English proficiency of at least 85%-90%.
- Computer skills including knowledge of software packages and internet applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or relevant field preferred.
