Job Description
Position: Environment Manager
Company: Barrick Gold Corporation
Location: Reko Diq Mine Site – Balochistan
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in related field (postgraduate degree preferable)
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years environmental management experience.
- Experience in resources or construction projects preferred.
Requirements:
- Understanding of environmental management software.
- Attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Overall management of the environment function for the Reko Diq Mining Project.
- Implement the site Environmental Management System, including development of Management Plans and procedures.
- Manage the development of induction and awareness training programs for employees, contractors, and consultants to ensure all workforce are properly briefed on environmental requirements.
- Manage collation of data into the site environmental monitoring tools and software and undertake analysis and reporting.
- Environmental monitoring, data collection, and management.
- Ensure compliance with the Project’s Environmental and Social Management System and all applicable national and local legislation including reporting requirements.
- Support the Community Relations team with environmental-related engagement with project stakeholders.
- Preparation and management of budgets, internal and external reporting, Power Point presentations, minutes, and participation in various strategies and meetings.
