Job Description
Position: Export Specialist
Location: Karachi, with frequent traveling to Reko Diq Mine Site – Balochistan
Qualification: Minimum bachelors, preferably in procurement and/or supply chain management, business administration, or related areas.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experience
- Knowledge and relations with customs, export shipping regulations, and policies
- Knowledge of EPZA regulations
- Computer skills MS Office, SAP, ARIBA
- Certification in clearing, forwarding & IATA
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the site team for any export shipments
- Following up with the site team for complete dimensions and specifications of cargo for shipping documents
- Review and validate shipping documents and ensure consignments are labeled before leaving site
- Maintain a database of export shipments
- Coordinate with the transport team for timely consignment deliveries under custom escort
- Follow up with customs brokers for timely clearance of consignments
- Process customs agents’ bills and ensure timely payments
- Monitor and track import consignments, informing the site team upon arrival
