Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Field Officer at Pakistan Tobacco Company located in Mingāora. The Field Officer will be responsible for:
- Monitoring tobacco cultivation, procurement, and processing in the assigned areas.
- Enforcing the company’s policies and regulations related to farmer contracting, crop size, quality, and pricing, and take corrective measures on any violations.
- Training farmers about good agricultural practices and supervising the implementation of the same.
- Collecting and analyzing market intelligence and crop data to identify opportunities and challenges and make recommendations for improvement.
- Liaising with government officials and community leaders to promote mutual cooperation and understanding.
The Field Officer will also be responsible for other tasks assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- Agriculture or Business-related degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of tobacco cultivation and related issues
- Experience in fieldwork and rural communities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Proficiency in local languages and Microsoft Office
- Valid driving license
Preferred:
- Experience in agricultural extension, agronomy, or related fields
- Experience in the tobacco industry
