Job Description
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation of timely, accurate monthly management accounts and other appropriate financial information to present to the senior management and later to the Board of Directors.
- He will be a leader in the Finance team and take responsibility for the financial control of commercial operations within the business by managing the day-to-day activities. He may also be required to work closely with various other key stakeholders of the senior management team on ad hoc projects.
- He will be responsible for the preparation of presentations on financial and business matters that provide thoughtful analysis, identify action items, and effectively frame decisions that need to be made.
Qualifications:
- Must be a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) with a minimum of five years of experience in a managerial position within a financial institution handling financial control functions.
- Strong focus on controls and processes with superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
- Experience with the implementation of ERP would be preferred but not mandatory.
- Up-to-date technical skills and knowledge regarding local corporate and tax laws as well as International Financial Reporting Standards.
- The ability to work closely with external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging with business partners and ensuring processes are being followed.
- Strong people manager who can work on developing team skills.
- Confidence to challenge senior opinions and maintain positive working relationships.
