Job Description
Install, configure, and test fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and related equipment in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate system integration during building construction or retrofitting. Develop and program fire alarm control panels, detectors, sensors, and other components to meet project specifications. Troubleshoot and modify programming as needed to ensure proper system functionality. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fire protection systems to identify and address issues before they become critical. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and system performance. Diagnose and repair faults, malfunctions, or failures in fire alarm and suppression systems. Stay up-to-date with local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations. Ensure all installed systems comply with relevant codes and standards. Communicate with clients and building occupants to address their concerns, provide system training, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of all installations, programming changes, maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities as required.
