Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Food Quality Assurance Officer at one of NOW-HR’s clients in Karachi. The Food Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all food products meet the company’s quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.

This role involves overseeing the quality control processes, conducting inspections, and implementing improvements to maintain high standards of food safety and quality. Key responsibilities include:

• Create and enforce procedures and standards to ensure food products meet quality and safety requirements.
• Perform regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, including local, national, and international guidelines.
• Ensure that all documentation and records related to quality assurance are maintained accurately and up-to-date.
• Train and educate production staff on quality assurance procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze product defects and customer complaints to develop strategies for quality enhancement.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality reports, including audit findings, corrective actions, and performance metrics.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry or a related field.
• Experience with food safety standards and regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO, GMP).
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Proficient in the use of quality management systems and laboratory equipment.
