Key Responsibilities:
- Pour and regulate the flow of molten metal into molds and forms.
- Move ready metal to pouring area using cranes or other systems.
- Add metal to molds to compensate for shrinkage.
- Collect samples for analysis and signal workers as needed.
- Examine molds for cleanliness and proper coating.
- Position equipment and read temperature gauges accordingly.
- Remove solidified metal or slag from pouring nozzles.
- Follow housekeeping and safety procedures while working.
