Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced GIS Specialist with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in GIS technologies. The successful candidate will join our offshore on-site team and play a key role in utilizing ArcGIS tools and other GIS software for spatial analysis, mapping, and data management.

Responsibilities:

• Spatial Analysis and Modeling:

1. Conduct spatial analysis using ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and QGIS to support project requirements.
2. Develop and implement GIS models for various applications, including site selection, network analysis, and terrain modeling.

• Data Management:

1. Manage and maintain geospatial datasets using PostGIS/PostgreSQL.
2. Ensure data integrity and consistency in accordance with established standards.

• Visualization and Cartography:

1. Create high-quality maps and visualizations using ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and Arch Scene.
2. Utilize MapInfo for specific mapping requirements.

• Web GIS Development:

1. Leverage ArcGIS Online for web mapping applications.
2. Develop and maintain web GIS applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript.

• Integration of Data Sources:

1. Work with various data sources, including Google Earth, Erda, and other relevant platforms.
2. Integrate remote sensing data into GIS projects.

• Database Management:

1. Utilize PostGIS/PostgreSQL for database management and spatial data storage.

• Training and Support:

1. Provide training and technical support to team members on GIS tools and applications.
2. Assist in the development of GIS awareness within the organization.

• Collaboration:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into broader projects.
2. Coordinate with stakeholders to understand and meet GIS requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in GIS, with a focus on ArcGIS tools.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArchScene, and QGIS.
• Experience with PostGIS/PostgreSQL for geodatabase management.
• Familiarity with Google Earth, Erda, MapInfo, and other GIS-related tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
