Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing cyclic business plans, maintaining cash flow, interacting with partners/creditors, the Board, and updating TMF’s fiscal function and performance.
- Assisting management in the development of the TMF’s strategic plans.
- Preparing budget analysis, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO, the Board, and the senior executives in making decisions.
- Conducting financial data analysis to optimize TMF’s operations, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance in the microfinance sector.
- Managing TMF Treasury and building relationships with commercial banks, peer institutions, investment companies, and raising/providing liquidity as needed for operations.
- Developing a cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
- Collaborating with auditors for annual financial audits and ensuring full compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Team building and capacity building.
Requirements:
- Strong financial acumen.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
- Ability to interpret large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
Qualification/Education:
• CA/ACCA (Qualified) or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred, reflecting a high level of financial expertise.
Experience:
7-10 years of working experience in a relevant field.
