Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparing cyclic business plans, maintaining cash flow, interacting with partners/creditors, the Board, and updating TMF’s fiscal function and performance.
2. Assisting management in the development of the TMF’s strategic plans.
3. Preparing budget analysis, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO, the Board, and the senior executives in making decisions.
4. Conducting financial data analysis to optimize TMF’s operations, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure regulatory compliance in the microfinance sector.
5. Managing TMF Treasury and building relationships with commercial banks, peer institutions, investment companies, and raising/providing liquidity as needed for operations.
6. Developing a cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
7. Collaborating with auditors for annual financial audits and ensuring full compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
8. Team building and capacity building.

Requirements:

• Strong financial acumen.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
• Ability to interpret large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
• Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent writing skills.

Qualification/Education:

• CA/ACCA (Qualified) or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred, reflecting a high level of financial expertise.

Experience:

7-10 years of working experience in a relevant field.
