Job Description
Objectives of the Position
Dual responsibility for implementing BASF’s corporate sustainability strategy in the country through the development and implementation of a country sustainability roadmap and developing and implementing internal and external communication strategies, managing brand reputation and ensuring consistent messaging to support the organizations’ purpose and growth targets.
Main Tasks
Sustainability
- Support the country organization to develop and implement BASF’s Corporate Sustainability strategy and initiatives in the country.
- Responsible for developing and implementing the Country Sustainability Roadmap, including growth initiatives, action plans, trainings and communication matrices.
- Lead the advocacy activities for sustainability topics with external stakeholders (Authorities, NGOs, customers, and other industry players).
- Lead the development and implementation of local internal sustainability trainings for upskilling and awareness.
- Establish BASF as a thought leader in sustainability and other relevant corporate strategic actions.
Corporate Communications
- Develop and implement an integrated communication and engagement plan to support BASF’s global, regional, and country purpose, objectives, and strategies, for all internal and external stakeholders.
- Applying best practices in event planning, media management, digital tools, media planning and execution.
- Lead and support Industry teams to develop and implement advocacy topics, and support country leadership in consistent messaging and stakeholder mapping.
- Support lead during crisis management.
Business Development
- Leveraging networks with Authorities, Industry, and Trade Associations and collaborate with Industry teams to drive business growth.
- Support country management to leverage sustainability in business development.
- Organization, planning, coordination, & steering of a Country Roadmap.
- Stakeholder mapping and associations management.
Minimum Education And Qualification Required For The Position
Education
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, or business economics preferred.
- Accredited ESG training.
Working Experience
- Proven experience in Corporate Communications, Journalism, and Sustainability.
IT Skills
- MS Office (expert).
