Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Herd Health Manager at HI Cattle Farm located in Lahore. The Herd Health Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the health and well-being of the cattle herd. They will work closely with veterinarians and other team members to develop and implement management protocols to maintain herd health, perform regular herd evaluations, disease identification and treatment, maintain records, and develop and maintain herd health and biosecurity plans.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of herd health management principles, practices, and protocols
- Bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine, animal science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience managing cattle herd health or large animal veterinary experience, preferable in a feedlot or dairy setting
- Experience in disease identification and treatment, preventative medicine, herd health planning, and biosecurity
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Office
- Able to perform physically demanding work and work flexible hours as needed
