Job Description
Lahore University Of Management Sciences Position Purpose
To assist and provide technical desktop support to students, staff, and faculty at the Helpdesk and campus-wide.
Key Accountabilities
- Help students in the labs and provide support to the faculty/staff after office hours and on weekends and resolve any tickets assigned on the Helpdesk.
- Take phone calls at the helpdesk.
- Software, hardware, and network troubleshooting in Computing Labs.
- Preparation of the labs according to reservation requests.
- Maintain discipline in the labs.
- Maintain printing services and help students in their routine printing matters.
- Conduct hourly rounds to check the status of labs.
- Escalate the extraordinary/attention-requiring calls.
- Coordinate with other IST colleagues as and when required.
Knowledge And Skills
- IT and Customer Support Based Knowledge.
- Troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10, Linux, and Mac Operating Systems.
- Troubleshooting common office applications, particularly Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, and other applications.
- Good English communication skills.
- Problem-solving approach.
- Customer Orientation.
To Qualify For The Role, You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree from HEC recognized university
- Above-average computer skills
MCSE Certification will be preferred.
Work Schedule
- Work in rotating shifts and on weekends.
- Flexibility and commitment are a must.
