Job Description

• Assist in conducting security assessments and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

• Assist in developing and maintaining information security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Ensure proper documentation and version control of security policies.

• Participate in risk assessments to identify potential security risks.

• Assist in developing and documenting risk mitigation strategies.

• Aid in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST).

• Assist in preparing for and supporting internal and external audits.

• Help in maintaining incident response plans and procedures.

• Assist in incident response activities, including documentation and follow-up on security incidents.

• Support the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees.

• Promote a culture of security awareness and best practices throughout the organization.

• Assist in monitoring security controls and systems.

• Assist in preparing regular security assurance reports for the management.

• Stay updated with emerging security threats, trends, and technologies.

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

• Help the team in BAU activities of the function including access control, Security assessments, Monitoring, compliance, audits, and Incident handling etc.

• Tasks and responsibilities assigned by Head of IS or Line Manager.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Experience working in financial institutions and SBP regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of fundamental information security principles and practices.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST, GDPR).
• Basic understanding of risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to assist in identifying and mitigating security risks.
• Exposure to security tools such as antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and security information & event management (SIEM) systems.
• Basic understanding of network and system security.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements and audit processes.
• Ability to assist in internal and external security audits.
• Basic knowledge of incident response procedures.
• Ability to assist in documenting and managing security incidents.
