Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Helpdesk Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. As an IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to users, ensuring seamless operation of IT systems, and resolving technical issues promptly. Candidate must possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- First-Line Support: Respond to IT support requests from internal users through various channels (phone, email, ticketing system). Sound knowledge of incident management system and tools. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software related issues promptly. Provide guidance and assistance to users on IT-related queries. Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes for employees, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Hardware and Software Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on computer systems, including updates, patches, and system upgrades. Coordinate with on-site vendors for hardware repairs and replacements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues. Communicate effectively with end-users to provide status updates and resolution timelines.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure adherence to IT security policies and assist in implementing security best practices. Conduct physical verifications (audit) to ensure accuracy of assets record.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify trends in technical issues and propose proactive solutions to prevent recurring problems. Contribute to the development and improvement of IT support processes.
Experiences & Qualifications:
- Bachelors in IT / Computer Science or related field. Proven experience in IT support.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using IT service management tools.
