Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Journalist located in Islamabad. The Journalist will be responsible for researching, writing, and reporting news stories for print, online, or broadcast media outlets. The Journalist will have to attend conferences and events, and conduct interviews with sources to provide informative and engaging content for the publication. Moreover, the Journalist should have excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills to produce high-quality work and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field
- 5+ years of professional experience as a journalist in print, online, or broadcast news media
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for accuracy and detail
- Strong research and investigative skills, with the ability to seek out and confirm information from a variety of sources
- Experience with video and audio recording equipment, and multimedia storytelling is a plus
- Deep understanding of journalistic ethics and standards, and the ability to follow them strictly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to form and maintain relationships with sources, interview subjects, and colleagues
- Great organizational skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines while handling several projects simultaneously
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and work under pressure
