Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Advocacy Officer to join our Policy and Advocacy Team. The ideal candidate will support our national and international advocacy efforts, working to influence policy and raise awareness on human rights, criminal justice reform, and the death penalty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing advocacy strategies and campaigns.
- Conduct research on legal and policy issues.
- Draft reports, policy briefs, and advocacy materials.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and international organizations.
- Monitor and report on human rights and criminal justice developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, International Relations, or related field.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for human rights and justice issues.
- Preferably one year of experience in advocacy or law.
