Job Description

Coverage Hours:

• L1 Support Engineers: 24/7 (3 shifts, ensuring continuous coverage)
• L2 Support Engineers: 8/5 (8 hours per day, 5 days a week)

Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide first and second-level technical support via phone, email, or chat, handling issues ranging from basic to complex.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to cloud infrastructure, networking, and applications. Escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
• System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and alerts, ensuring prompt response to any incidents and maintaining service reliability.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and support activities in the ticketing system. Prepare technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, such as DevOps and Engineering, to address and resolve technical challenges. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Deployment & Maintenance: Assist in the deployment and maintenance of cloud services and infrastructure. Mentor and guide junior support staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• L1 Support Engineers: 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a cloud or IT environment.
• L2 Support Engineers: 3-5 years of experience in a technical support role, with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
• Basic Knowledge (L1): Cloud computing, networking, and system administration.
• Advanced Knowledge (L2): Cloud platforms, networking, virtualization, and system administration.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays for L1 roles. Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers for L2 roles.
