Job Description
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable institution; a Masters degree (LLM) or other advanced legal qualifications will be an advantage.
- Licensed to practice law in Pakistan.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the tech industry, particularly in AI and Web3.
- Strong knowledge of Pakistani corporate laws and regulations, as well as familiarity with international legal standards and practices.
- Proven experience in managing complex legal matters and transactions.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues across our entities in Pakistan, Singapore, and the US.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, licensing agreements, and service contracts.
- Oversee the company’s legal affairs, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations.
- Advise on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
- Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Handle employment law matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the company’s interests and mitigate risks.
- Liaise with external legal counsel as needed and manage relationships with law firms and other legal service providers.
- Stay updated on legal developments in the AI and Web3 sectors and ensure the company’s operations are aligned with these changes.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support the company’s strategic initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on legal matters and best practices.
