Job Description
Key Deliverables:
- Efficiently manage and organize the college library, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
- Maintain an updated and well-organized catalog of library resources, including both print and digital materials.
- Implement and manage an electronic borrowing and return system for library materials, enhancing accessibility.
- Provide assistance to students and faculty in locating and accessing relevant information, fostering effective information retrieval.
- Collaborate with teaching faculty to assess academic needs, recommend and acquire new materials for the library collection.
- Offer reference and research assistance, guiding users on search strategies and the use of library resources.
- Stay updated on emerging library technologies, advocating for their integration to enhance e-library services.
- Plan and execute library events, book clubs, and reading programs to promote a vibrant reading culture.
- Implement HEC library support services.
- Provision and maintenance of digital library, audio-visual resources, and online library resources.
- Maintain and update the digital catalog of library resources as well as arrange its training.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: Minimum Master’s Degree in Library Science or Information Science from an HEC recognized institution.
- Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in a Higher Education Institution.
