Job Description
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at the Dandot cement plant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in planning, scheduling, and supervising all mechanical work to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of plant equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Inform the Assistant Manager Mechanical of any constraints affecting work regularity.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety policies.
- Directly supervise hourly employees.
- Manage the maintenance budget effectively.
- Participate in developing cost and time estimates for maintenance work.
- Assist in planning plant improvements and expansions.
- Contribute to developing goals for the maintenance department.
- Properly inspect machinery and supervise maintenance activities.
- Maintain a schedule for regular preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate spare parts procurement from the warehouse.
- Keep shift logbooks updated.
- Participate in facility maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all work is completed on time with a focus on safety and quality.
Requirements:
- Hold a Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Have 5 – 8 years of experience in the cement industry.
- Possess strong knowledge of cement plant equipment maintenance.
- Capable of developing and managing maintenance budgets.
- Proficient in planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
