We are a fast-growing US-based RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) company.
Role Description:
This is a full-time remote position for a Medical Coder. The Medical Coder will be primarily responsible for assigning appropriate medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for accurate billing of health insurance claims for various healthcare facilities. They will also be responsible for reviewing and interpreting medical documentation to ensure accurate code assignment and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations. We need a coder who is experienced in OB Gyn office visits, radiology, surgeries, delivery procedures, hospitalists visits, and ER encounters coding.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a certificate program in Medical Coding
- Certification in Medical Coding (e.g. CPC, CCS) mandatory requirement
- Demonstrated understanding of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding systems
- Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems with a strong grip over ATHENA Health
- Understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and compliance standards related to medical coding and billing, including HIPAA
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in code assignment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
- 7 or more years of experience in medical coding in a healthcare setting preferred with at least 5 years in OB Gyn facility, OR, Radiology, outpatient and office-based coding
Payscale: 300K+ will be offered to the right candidate.
