Job Description
- Transcribe the recorded dictation of radiologist or other healthcare professional
- Transcribe and interpret the dictation into diagnostic test results, operative reports, procedure reports, referral letters, and other documents
- Upload medical reports into electronic health records systems (HMIS)
- Review and edit drafts, ensuring transcription accuracy and consistency
- Translate medical abbreviations into the appropriate long form
- Identify errors in reports that may impact patient care
- Follow up with healthcare providers for report accuracy
- Adhere to patient confidentiality and legal guidelines
- Perform quality improvement audits and other assigned duties
