Job Description
Job Summary:
The Oil Export Logistics Coordinator/Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the logistics operations related to the export of oil products. This role involves overseeing the transportation, storage, and shipment of oil products to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the export logistics operations for oil products, including crude oil and refined petroleum products.
- Plan and schedule shipments to meet customer orders and contractual obligations.
- Liaise with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange transportation and ensure compliance with export regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels at storage facilities and terminals to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Coordinate loading and unloading operations at ports and terminals, ensuring proper handling and documentation of oil shipments.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement and sales, to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations governing the transportation and handling of oil products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in oil export logistics, preferably in the energy industry.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures related to the export of oil products.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, including bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export declarations.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
