Job Description

As an On Farm Water Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing water usage for agricultural purposes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance water efficiency, manage irrigation systems, and prevent water waste on farms.

Your tasks will include conducting on-site assessments to evaluate water requirements, creating irrigation plans to ensure proper distribution, and advising farmers on best practices for water management. Additionally, you will help enhance soil moisture monitoring techniques and promote the use of advanced irrigation technologies.

To excel in this role, you should have a solid understanding of irrigation principles, water conservation practices, and agricultural techniques. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with farmers are essential. Experience in conducting training programs related to water management would be advantageous.
