Description
The Payable Administrator will be responsible for the processing and research of payments, ensuring necessary documents and approvals are in place for timely execution of the payment process.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manage accounts payable ledger.
- Review, verify, and record invoices in the system for accuracy.
- Obtain additional documents as needed to support payments.
- Identify discrepancies and escalate them appropriately.
- Ensure on-time payment of invoices with correct approval authorization.
- Resolve supplier account queries.
- Monthly reconciliation of vendor statements.
- Prepare and input new vendor accounts.
- Liaise with internal departments and stakeholders to resolve invoice queries for timely approval.
- Prepare management reports.
- Provide ad hoc assistance as required.
Requirements
Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure independently and as a team.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and periodicals.
- Willingness to learn, multitask, and prioritize tasks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
- EP knowledge (Microsoft AXAPTA preferable).
Detailed Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of general ledger systems and accounts payable processes.
