Job Description
Collection of blood and other samples in compliance with phlebotomy standards, maintaining equipment and stock properly. Adherence to infection control protocols and hospital policies is essential.
Regular Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collect blood and specimens as requested by doctors.
- Maintain Phlebotomy equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness of collection data.
- Manage stock for Phlebotomy.
- Proper disposal of sharps.
- Timely collection of blood from Wards.
- Generate IRS and confirm collections.
- Reject samples based on SOP criteria.
Periodic Duties/Responsibilities:
- Weekly stock maintenance.
- Monthly analyzer maintenance per procedures.
- Communicate with suppliers for any analyzer issues.
