Job Description
Position: Principal Network Engineer

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- MCSE and CISCO Certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), LAN/WLAN (DNS, IP Addressing, QoS, Spanning Tree, Multicast), Cisco Catalyst switches, and Cisco ISR/ASR routers.
- Project experience implementing infrastructure, networking, and cloud-based services.
- Experience in SDN/SD-WAN and Public Cloud, including Security products/practices (ACLs, Firewalls, VPN, etc.).
- Routing, Switching, VPN troubleshooting expertise. Understanding of WAN and internet multi-homing architecture.
- Knowledge of NG-Firewalls (Multi-vendor, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortigate), Security products/practices (ACLs, Firewalls, VPN, etc.).
- Experienced in Security Audits, network patching/upgrades, and network security compliance policies.
- Proficiency in Cisco IOS, Cisco ASA/Palo Alto (Firewall), Fortinet Wireless, SolarWinds, and/or other Network Management utilities.
Additional Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of network professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project execution.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team’s technical skills.
Operational Excellence:
- Implement and adhere to ITIL practices for operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the network infrastructure.
Security and Compliance:
- Enforce and monitor network security compliance policies.
- Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular audits and implement necessary security measures.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership in the design and implementation of core infrastructure projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the network environment.
