Job Description
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is currently seeking a Procurement Associate to join our team. As a Procurement Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of procurement services for UNDP programs and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of procurement plans and strategies.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and products.
- Prepare and process procurement requests, including creating purchase orders and contracts.
- Coordinate and facilitate the evaluation and selection of suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with UNDP procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in procurement, business administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems for procurement activities.
