Job Description
Position: Procurement Lead
Location: Karachi
Qualification: Minimum bachelors in procurement and/or supply chain management, business administration, or related areas.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role managing supply chain operations
Requirements
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP Ariba, and/or Envision
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Develop inventive and cost-effective procurement strategies
- Identify local suppliers and vendors
- Engage reliable suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate advantageous terms
- Review and maintain vendor contracts
- Build and sustain vendor relationships
- Approve purchase orders and confirm delivery
- Perform risk assessments on contracts
- Manage procurement budget and promote cost-saving
- Oversee IT systems tracking shipments and inventory
- Prepare procurement reports
- Coordinate with finance for timely payments
- Coordinate with legal team for contract finalization
- Technical understanding of mining machinery and materials
